APA Insurance needed the scalability and resilience of the cloud for its core insurance platform, without walking away from the on-premise investments it still depended on.

We migrated the core insurance system to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in a hybrid-cloud model, moving the right workloads to the cloud while keeping others on-premise and working as one.

Oracle redesign and real-time replication

The challenge

Bloated Oracle databases were driving up storage costs, while a 48-hour lag in the replication pipeline left reporting and downstream systems chronically behind.

Our approach

We redesigned the Oracle databases, reclaimed 32TB of storage and put a data-management policy in place, then re-engineered the Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) ETL pipeline to close the replication gap.

The result

Leaner databases, a major storage-cost saving, and real-time data flow with the 48-hour lag eliminated entirely.
